About me

Hi there! My name is Dario Barbieri, and I am a native Italian freelance translator based in Genoa, Italy. I translate health-related content from English or German to Italian, and I specialise in the fields of medicine, pharma, and nutrition.

I graduated with honours from the University of Genoa, Italy, with a Bachelor's degree in interlingual mediation and a Master's degree in translation and interpreting. During my studies, I also spent one semester at the University of Jena in Germany and another at the University of Vienna in Austria.

After graduating I completed a specialisation course in medical and pharmaceutical translation and have since started my career as a freelance translator.

I completed around 100 projects and translated over 300,000 words in my first two years of business. I am now in my third year.

I’m committed to lifelong learning to provide my clients with the best possible services. I make it a habit to regularly take courses and attend webinars to stay up-to-date with everything related to translation. You may also find me listening to podcasts about health and nutrition.
